Science Week Activities for Schools – Mane Events Supports Local Learning
This week we attended Combe Pafford School in Torquay by bringing their Science Week to life by providing exciting activities that demonstrated the science topic of forces in a fun and interactive way.
Using several of our popular attractions, students were able to experience real scientific principles through physical activity. The Bungee Run showed how elastic force and resistance work, as pupils ran against the tension of the bungee cord and felt the pull of stored energy.
Our Surf Simulator helped students understand balance, gravity and motion, as they adjusted their body position to stay upright while the moving board created changing forces beneath their feet.
The Penalty Shootout activity allowed pupils to explore force and momentum, seeing how the strength of a kick affects the speed and distance of the football.
These hands-on activities helped turn classroom science into an engaging real-world experience, allowing students to see how forces affect movement and balance.
